Weekend at last ..first stop Gien

Saturday was 100% picture perfect, clear blue sky, warm sun, fresh air .. the Loire Valley at its best. I drove down the Loire to; Gien then onto Briare.
Saturday morning in Geian the open market brings all types, merchandise ranges from: “Cheap Crap” to first rate foods; Farm produce, Meats and Cheeses.




The old city has plenty of charm and much for the tourist.

On to Briare, my destination “de jour” , famous for the Canal over the river Loire.
A picturesque town with activities centered around the canal and boating........
