Dongguan Update

Arriving in HK, Tuesday 24th. at 6:30 am, I was surprised and please to see no side effects of the Typhoon that past over the area, closing airport operations on the Sunday and Monday. 

9:00 am ferry to Shekou .. Drive to Huang Juan for lunch / shower and change of clothes.

2:00 pm – 9:30 pm  at the various factories

Wed.  Thursday & Friday … all very long days .. made great progress

Saturday .. 8: am through 1:30 pm.,  working new projects at SY factory and buy a Pink light … thx A-Jing

Sunday .. down day        Monday (tomorrow) .. back in the saddle ….

Tuesday .. Chinese National holiday …

Plan B – Update to travel plans

That all said .. I’m off to China on Sunday .. Matt and Kayla will go on to the UK Bike Week show.  Then from the UK to Brisbane where I’ll join them along with Lee and Ray on Oct 8th.

Hello my “little” friends

Surgery on Thursday to remove the 4 screws from my healed hip:  11 cm long  (4.375”) long .. They were protruding from the bone 4.5 cm and needed to come out. All is looking great post surgery.

The screws, cleaned and sterilized  .. destined to used in a future chair build !!!

Bottom picture (Six months ago) they are only protruding  a few millimeters, 12 days post surgery.
