The Infamous 14mm Hex Socket.... 1/4" 20 tpi Set Screw.  

SOLUTION Implemented .. Works GREAT .. now I can extend table with no restrictions and still us table height adjustment.

 

Cribbage Board-in a -Box (part 2)

Box Base in Glue-Up .. Long Sides set matching mitered end,other will be straight overlap joint. 1-2-3 Block set as stop, weight to keep board flat

Making a custom Cribbage Board-in a -Box (part 1)

Cribbage Board, 3 player Lanes: Cut to Size;14 3/4" X 4": Painted, 2X Apple Red. Drilled using template. Pin holes maintain an accurate depth.....

Drill Press Upgrade:  Lab Jack used to very accurately set Drilling Depth.  Works FANTASTIC. 

Box: Base and Lid parts: Initial Glue-Up..Used Titebond II.. III tends to leave a dark residue on light wood. Cleaning Squeeze out ASAP is important.

Crack in the top .... promis of GREAT wood under the paint. 

Cause of the Crack .. Too Many Screws, not allowing any wood movement... easy fix....

Progress on Box Rebuild ... UPDATE !!!

As the song goes " You .... and when to Fold-Em" .. The wood type and warpage proved to severe to correct .. So this project goes in the Lessons Learned bucket .. goodbye old friend...... 

Using JB Epoxy to help mitigate warpage and rebuild box Body and Lid. I'll use Epoxy in lue of Titebond 3 to complete the rebuild.

Well that went like a Fart in Church .. from TLC to a Total Rebuild.....

This small box needs a rebuild and repairs .. warpage caused cracks and glue line separation. The Open Design cut into the lid is the main source of warpage damage.

A couple of boxes require TLC

Hinge Lid box with Open Design .... I got both these boxes in China in 2004. Need to revisit this fix may need more love !!!!New base for the sliding lid pencil box. The original base warped and separated from the frame.

Installed Sewing Machine Input - Outfeed Table with under table storage.

Table installed .. Removable section, held by magnets. This allows access to change Bobbins. Storage Box in place under table.Ready for First Test Run ....

Making a Sewing Machine Infeed Table.. for "The Boss"

Goal: replace existing table with a more stable table with "EASY" access to change Bobbins. After some basic cutting to size (Table Saw & Miter Saw) the first glue-up... to be continued..
